The Maryland Children’s Alliance is a nonprofit organization created to better serve children who have experienced abuse by encouraging best practice services among the professionals designated to investigate allegations, prosecute offenders, and provide support and treatment to children and families.


Our Mission
The mission of the MCA is to promote the well-being of children by supporting the development, growth, and continuation of children's advocacy centers throughout the state of Maryland through advocacy, training, and technical assistance.
Our Impact
MCA and Maryland’s Child Advocacy Centers are determined to lessen the devastating impact of child abuse and neglect by ensuring that trauma-informed services are available to those who need them.

Find Resources
Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) are community-based, child-friendly, and trauma-informed organizations that facilitate a multidisciplinary response to child abuse allegations. CACs deliver a best practice model to support children and families throughout the process of investigation, prosecution, and healing. Child Advocacy Centers provide a safe, child-focused environment where the child’s well-being is a priority. Maryland Children’s Alliance represents and supports 24 Child Advocacy Centers throughout the state to ensure all Maryland’s children have access to this best practice model.
How CACs help kids
Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) are child-friendly facilities where children who have experienced maltreatment may be interviewed, receive medical examinations, and participate in therapy.
