Forensic Interviewing of Children Online

June 13 @ 8:00 AM - June 17 @ 5:00 PM

Date: June 13-17,  2022

Registration Deadline: May 2, 2022

The NCAC Child Forensic Interview Training is an internationally recognized, research-informed, intensive five-day course in which practitioners learn the necessary skills to conduct a competent, investigative interview of a child using the NCAC Child Forensic Interview Structure.

This interactive training, facilitated by practicing interviewers, utilizes demonstration videos, experiential skill-building activities, lecture, guided discussions, reflections, and an interview practicum in a supportive environment with facilitator assessment and feedback from experienced interviewers.

NCAC will assign mandatory readings and homework prior to each training session. Each student will be given a pre- and post-examination. All work must be completed before a certificate of completion is issued. Each learner will need to download or print the training manual and worksheets for reference during the training.

Trainers provide additional information for participants via scheduled supplemental live, online interactive courses addressing specific forensic interviewing challenges. In addition, the trainers will respond to requests for ongoing support and individualized forensic interview assessment.

This training is presented in English. If you need interpretation or any other accommodation to participate in this training please contact the training coordinator. International participants are responsible for their own interpretation services.

This training has been updated to meet the 2023 NCA Standards for Accredited Children’s Advocacy Centers.
