Blind Eyes Opened – Screening

January 29 @ 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Event Description:

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and Unstoppable You Ministries has collaborated with various organizations within Southern Maryland to host a screening of the documentary Blind Eyes Opened.  Blind Eyes Opened features the stories of six courageous women who were trafficked in America. Their accounts expose the reality that sex trafficking is happening in the United States. This should cause us to pause and think about our own communities. While their experiences are difficult to hear, their testimonies are full of hope. This documentary is rated PG-13.  After the documentary, we will have an open dialogue to further bring the community together with local resources.  Last but not least, we will have bags of red sand available in support of the Red Sand Project.  The Red Sand Project is a creative way to spark the conversation centered around human trafficking, that more than 40 million people around the world experience.
