In this 2019 photo, the Frederick County team celebrates Wear Blue Day.

The Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County has focused their Child Abuse Prevention activities on using social media to connect with families in the community, providing resources and other helpful information.  Please check out their Facebook page: Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County.

One of the resources they have offered includes a calendar of activities for the first two weeks of Child Abuse Prevention Month.  They had a Facebook Live drawing for a gift card for participants who tagged them on Wear Blue Friday and will have had an additional drawing for those participating in the weekly activities.

The CAC has been featured in a few local news and newspapers stories, including an article (“Advocate warns of potential increase in child abuse during COVID-19”) that covered an interview with the Family Advocate.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office also put out several informative videos on their Facebook page.
